Resource Management in Real Time Distributed System with Security Constraints: A Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
The world has become a global village. Today applications are developed which require sharing of resources dispersed geographically to fulfill the need of the users. In most cases applications turn out to be time bound thus leading to Real Time Distributed System (RTDS). Online Banking, Online Multimedia Applications, Real Time Databases, and Missile tracking systems are some examples of these types of applications. These applications face many challenges in the present scenario particularly in resource management, load balancing, security, and deadlock. The heterogeneous nature of the system exacerbates the challenges. This paper provides a widespread survey of research work reported in RTDS. This review has covered the work done in the field of resource management, load balancing, deadlock, and security. The challenges involved in tackling these issues is presented and future directions are discussed. DOI: 10.4018/978-1-4666-2647-8.ch014

Survey on Security Constraints and Real‐time Constraints in Real‐time Resource Limited System Group 10 Final Report Statement of the Problem
Our project will focus on real time system with constraints on security, real-time performance and limited resource. It is the seeking for performance optimization after a trade of all the constraints considered. Namely, we will cover the following areas: (a) Secure wireless communication in MANETs (b) Scalable and lightweight secure group communication, including authentication of group member...
متن کاملA Secure Real-Time Concurrency Control Protocol for Mobile Distributed Real-Time Databases
A class of security-critical applications with the requirements of timing constraints, such as wireless stock trading, power network scheduling, real-time traffic information management, etc., demand the support of mobile distributed real-time database systems. For the class of applications, mobile distributed realtime database systems must simultaneously satisfy two requirements in guaranteein...
متن کاملOpen Issues and Challenges in Security-aware Real-Time Scheduling for Distributed Systems
Task Scheduling for real-time distributed systems has been investigated extensively in the literature. However, conventional wisdom in dynamic scheduling ignores security requirements in realtime applications. As such, in addition to factoring quality of security in real-time applications running in the system, real-time scheduling algorithms need to be security-aware in nature. In this paper w...
متن کاملComparative Advantage, Self-sufficiency and Food Security in Iran: Case Study of Wheat Commodity
Food security has a dynamic notion during the time and may be affected by various domestic and global factors.Nevertheless, Iranian policy makers consider food security as same as self-sufficiency in agricultural food products, particularly wheat production. However, self-sufficiency can contribute to food security only if it is in coincidences with comparative advantage and sustainable resourc...
متن کاملA Dynamic Slack Management Technique for Real- Time Distributed Embedded System with Enhanced Fault Tolerance and Resource Constraints
This project work aims to develop a dynamic slack management technique, for real-time distributed embedded systems to reduce the total energy consumption in addition to timing, precedence and resource constraints. The Slack Distribution Technique proposed considers a modified Feedback Control Scheduling (FCS) algorithm. This algorithm schedules dependent tasks effectively with precedence and re...
